Does the site use cookies?
No. The site sets no cookies for visitors. It runs no analytics service, no advertising network and no social media widgets, and its fonts and images come from its own server, so a visit does not contact third parties for those resources.
What does your browser store?
Two entries in the browser's local storage, each written only after you act:
- ncs_age_ok, written when you confirm your age, so the age screen is skipped on your next pages;
- ncs_theme, written when you pick the light or dark theme.
Both remain in your browser, and neither reaches us. Clearing the site data in your browser settings removes them.
What does the server record?
Access logging is turned off for this site, so the web server keeps no list of visits. It does keep an error log: when a request fails, the entry can include the IP address, the date and time, the requested address and the browser identification. The log rotates daily, and older files are deleted after 52 rotations, roughly 52 days. We read it to fix faults and protect the site, a purpose that rests on our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
Where is the data processed?
On a server rented from DigitalOcean in its New York region, in the USA. Readers in the European Union should know that the error log described above is therefore stored outside the EU.
What happens to an email you send us?
We receive your address and your message, and we use them to answer you. The message stays with us while the exchange is open, and you can ask us to delete it.
What happens on candy.ai?
Watch buttons open candy.ai with affiliate parameters that identify this site rather than the reader. Once you land there, Candy.ai's privacy notice and cookie notice apply, and Candy.ai and its affiliate tracking provider may note that we referred the visit.
What are your rights?
The GDPR lets you obtain a copy of your personal data, ask for corrections or erasure, restrict its processing, receive it in a portable format and oppose processing that relies on our legitimate interest. Is the site meant for minors?
No. The site addresses adults only, so it has no reason to hold data about minors.
